Having a bedtime ritual that is routinely done before going to bed helps to condition the mind and body and allow one to fall asleep more easily at night. In the same way, having a morning ritual might help one's mind and body make a smoother transition between the sleeping and waking states of consciousness. This morning I tried for the first time a "sea urchin stretch", a short set of arm movements (imitating the movement of sea urchin spines) while standing. Why not? It don't have to be anything fancy.
A few cute things about my daughter. This morning we slept in together. When I woke up and turned to look at her, she opened her eyes and smiled big. How sweet and innocent she is! And so happy! A few days ago she was crying at night. Our dog can only take so much of it. After a while every time my daughter began to cry, the dog began to whine.
